Unterstützung der ARUMERU WOMEN SUPPORT GROUP

ARUMERU WOMEN SUPPORT GROUP (AWSG) – Diese Frauengruppe hat sich zur Aufgabe gestellt, in Arumeru einer Randgemeinde von Arusha HIV/AIDS infizierte und deren betroffene Familien zu unterstützen.

Die sozialwirtschaftliche Auswirkung von HIV/AIDS ist verheerend und behindert ganz allgemein Entwicklung. HIV/AIDS betroffene Haushalte leiden unter mangelnden Arbeitskräften, Einkommen, Nahrungsmittelreserven und dementsprechend auch an Ersparnissen. Diese werden gebraucht um die Krankheitskosten und später Begräbniskosten der HIV/AIDS-Infizierten zu decken. Meist werden Witwen und Kinder ohne Einkommensquelle zurückgelassen.

AWSG hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, intensive Trainings zu organisieren, die Leute zu informieren, wie sie sich gegen diese Krankheit schützen können.

Weiters werden Trainings organisiert, wo die Frauen geschult werden, kleine Geschäfte zu führen um nachhaltig aus der Armutsspirale rauszukommen. Nach dem Training wird ihnen ein kleines Grundkapital zur Verfügung gestellt, wobei sie einen winzigen Beitrag selbst leisten müssen. AWSG unterstützt und begleitet diese Frauen beim Aufbau ihrer kleinen Geschäfte.

‚Tanzania-Zentrum’ unterstützt ganz konkret das Training für eine 20-köpfige Frauengruppe, die nach dem Training ein kleines Grundkapital (seed-money) bekommt.

Kosten: ca. 1700 Euro inkl. Grundkapital

Wir möchten im nächsten Schritt auch in diese Gemeinde die wertvollen Schulungen über natürliche Heilpflanzen bringen.

Sponsoring the ARUMERU WOMEN SUPPORT GROUP

Arumeru Women Support Group (AWSG) – This group of women engages in supporting HIV/AIDS infected people and their families in Arumeru, a suburb of Arusha.

The social-economical effects of HIV/AIDS are disastrous and handicap development in general. HIV/AIDS affected households suffer from unemployment, have no income, no food stocks and consequently have barely any savings. What little they have is used to cover treatment and later, funeral costs of HIV/AIDS infected relatives. In most cases widows and children are left behind without any source of income.

AWSG engages in the organization and carrying out of intensive training schemes in order to make people aware of how they can protect themselves against these diseases.

Furthermore, seminars are conducted aimed at teaching women how to run their own small businesses in order to effectively get out of this poverty loop. After the seminar they are given a small start capital (seed-money) to which they themselves have to contribute a small amount.

AWSG supports and guides these women in the realization of their small businesses.

TanZen substantially sponsors the training of a group of 20 women who will be given a small amount of starting capital after training.

Costs are estimated at around 1700 EURO including the starting capital.

As a next step in this community we plan to conduct seminars on the application of medicinal plants.
